“There is nothing to make you like other human beings so much as doing things for them.” ― Zora Neale Hurston.
This fragrance celebrates author and anthropologist Zora Neale Hurston. She was a gorgeous "rose" with a more substantial beauty under her surface. In addition to her incomparable storytelling ability, Hurston was a passionate student of humanity. She leveraged her education and resources to study and document women's roles across the diaspora, highlighting shared human experiences.
In Kari's Chicago-area studio, she crafts each LITOTES candle with clean soy wax and natural essential oils (no synthetics, phthalate-free). All ingredients are non-toxic when used for their intended purpose. Each fragrance is hand-poured by the artist and wrapped thoughtfully, ready for gifting.
